When you visit Winnow's Rise, you will discover that original artwork has been added to the cabin. Created by me, Jane Donaldson, each piece has been chosen to anchor and enliven the space it inhabits.

Feelings and thoughts mix with abstraction and colour play to become whimsical explorations of connection - connection to heart, to memory, to story, to dear ones, to home and place and to wishes and wants.

Begun in observation, embellished with feeling and made more by the imagined, a painting might become a container for a memory or a way to reflect and understand. Once in a while, it's a handhold into another world - one that is fanciful and full of possibility. Sometimes it is a soft spot to sit and still, and at other times, an untethering force that calls, come join in, to another creative being.
